Important Update about Therapy Sessions and Covid-19 Coronavirus

What is happening in our world now with the Covid-19 Coronavirus is unprecedented and we are all trying our very best to do what is right and safest for all. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding during this time. I am committed to continuing to provide therapy services while protecting you, myself, and my family.

Due to the rapidly changing climate surrounding the Covid-19 Coronavirus and the recommendations of my licensing board, I am moving all clients to an online video format beginning Monday, March 23rd until further notice. You will be able to access your video session through a smartphone, tablet, laptop, or computer that has both audio and video capabilities and you will need to make sure you have a private, safe place to have the session such as a bedroom or your safely parked car.

For child clients for whom video would not be appropriate, I would like to take this opportunity to provide parent support sessions. These parent sessions can often be just as or even more helpful than in-person sessions with the child.

I have added a required consent form on the portal (INFORMED CONSENT CHECKLIST FOR VIDEO-THERAPY SERVICES) reviewing video therapy. To access the new form and your video session, please log into the “secure client portal” tab on my website www.treebrookcounseling.com. Once logged in, it should prompt you to review and sign this new form.  From there you should be able to see all of your sessions and you will notice I’ve changed them from in person to video (this change should be completed by end of business Friday). Governor Abbott announced today that all insurance plans are to treat video sessions (doctor, therapy, etc.) the same as in person sessions so the session will be covered at the same rate as an in-person session with the same copays applying.
If you do not remember your login information for the client portal, please text or email me and I will send you a username reminder and a password reset link that is good for 24 hours.

Again, thank you for your patience. Please go wash your hands and elbow bump those you love! Please feel free to reach out to me if you need assistance figuring out how to access video sessions. I’m happy to help in any way I can!
